William Shakespeare was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. Shakespeare's reputation as dramatist and poet actor is unique and he is considered amongst the greatest playwright of all time. Nicknamed, `The Bard of Avon', he wrote the famous 154 Sonnets and numerous highly successful oft quoted dramatic works.
